Just in time to give us an extra boost on those New Year resolutions, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day has arrived to kick us into gear.


Cardiac Rehabilitation Week is February 11-17. During this week, we acknowledge the contributions of the nurses in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Hillcrest Hospital Claremore who work with patients to help reduce the effects of heart disease. To celebrate, we spoke with cardiac rehabilitation nurse Angela Messimore, RN, who shared some insight into the program and the benefits patients can experience.

As the temperatures drop and the days get shorter, the possibility of dangerous winter storm conditions rise. Winter storms can consist of strong winds, sleet, freezing rain, frigid temperatures, heavy snow and icing, and are known for immobilizing entire areas in a short amount of time. While there are several parts of the country that are acclimated to dealing with harsh winter conditions, many aren’t, leaving some in a state of panic.

Hospital receives Healthgrades 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award

Claremore, Okla. (Oct. 3, 2017) – Hillcrest Hospital Claremore has announced that it is a recipient of the Healthgrades  2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award, a designation that recognizes superior performance in hospitals that have prevented the occurrence of  serious, potentially avoidable complications for patients during hospital stays.

Through its Silver Elite program, Hillcrest Hospital Claremore hosted a Medicare education event on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Claremore Conference Center.

I would like to thank all the ICU nurses, therapists and all who worked with Felicia [Johnston] from April 16 – 28 of this year.. Thank you all for your special care, patience and explaining what you were going to do. Your kindness made her time in the hospital a little bit easier.

It’s that time of year again; time when the days are longer and outdoor temperatures start to rise. With the cold weather behind us, we can begin to enjoy the perks of spring. Many are drawn to fun and relaxing outdoor activities during this time of the year; however, spring is also a season of unstable weather.
